Durban FilmMart SA Talent Award.
We celebrate our Founder, Director, Screenwriter, and Producer Aderonke Adeola, who won the Durban FilmMart SA Talents Award. Our Film, Darker Side of Afrobeats project will participate at the Pitch and Finance Forum at DFM 2023.
Kosinima Short Film grant
We won a Grant! KOSINIMA is committed to creating new pathways for films to get made and the biggest first step is access to funding and we were opportune to have won the grant to complete our next project Model Citizen.
BEFORE THE LENS (2019)
On November 21st, 2019, 1421 Media held a creative workshop called ‘Before the Lens: THINKING THROUGH PRE PRODUCTION.’ The aim of the workshop was to balance the narrative that technical skills have thrived at the expense of artistic skills in film production but not anymore.
